Ninja 250 Class coming to AMA Pro Racing?
President of AMA Pro Racing, Roger Edmondson is trying to get a younger crowd involved in American Superbike, Daytona SportBike, Supersport and Moto-GT program. He recently spoke with 4 motorcycle manufactures about adding a Ninja 250 class for road racers under 16 years old.
“The Ninja program would be aimed at 12-15 or perhaps 13-15,” he said. “I’m not sure yet because it depends on the attitudes of the insurance companies. It will absolutely be an entry level age group.”
AMA has been against young racers in the past so its good to see them giving it a second look.
